You do not have to kill the Beast. A Farmer win is also being alive when the countdown reaches morning. Recorded rounds end that way: the Beast is still hunting, the timer expires, and the result is a Farmer win.
The official split is unchanged. Farmers survive until morning. The Beast must catch everyone before sunrise. One creator counts the Farmer timer at 15 minutes. No source makes that an official length. Trust the countdown. Players read it at about 13 minutes after the start, then 8, 4, a minute and a half, and the final 20 and 15 seconds. One creator also marks a halfway point of the night. The sunrise animation itself is not documented. The reliable signal is the result when Farmers are still alive.
Grace period, then shelter
The Beast is not loose at second zero. Release is reported as roughly 10 seconds, about 15 seconds, and about 20 seconds in different videos, and the opening line of one session said 3 seconds. Use the number on your screen. That window is wood and a shelter.
- Chop immediately. A max-level Lumberjack report yields 3 wood per tree instead of 2 and chops 25 percent faster. See wood.
- Pick one spot and commit.
- Raise the shelter before the hunt is active. Players repeat that night is when the Beast comes.
- Fence as soon as the shelter exists. If you hear breathing that is already close, the fences go up on the spot.
- Keep looking behind you while you chop outside the ring.
- Start chicken farms once basic protection stands. Later purchases are gold.
Gold into time
Chicken farms are a trickle. Players then save for pig, cow, or bee farms. One player hit about 10 gold per second after a pig farm. Another reported 14 gold per second from the most expensive farm he could buy. Spend it on turrets, ballistas, mines, and golden gates. From the Beast side, each push into a stacked base cost roughly 100 to 300 health, and one hunter called the guns impossible. Low Beast move speed makes towers matter on every approach.
| Piece | Survival job | Note from play |
|---|---|---|
| Fences and wood walls | First ring around the shelter | Rushed the moment the Beast sounds close |
| Stone wall | Sturdier rebuild | Listed at about 50, unit unclear |
| Watchtower | Extra defense building | Listed at about 150 in the same kind of review |
| Metal and spike walls | Late heavy ring | Chosen when stone was not enough |
| Golden gates | Seal, then open for residents | Described as gold only |
| Turrets and ballistas | Damage on the approach | Beast players delete these and the farms first |
| Land mines | One burst | Single use |
Nothing in the recordings is unbreachable. Defenses buy the time that a survival round is scored on. Placement detail is in base defense.
If the Beast is already inside the plan
- Leave the two-block exit from the start.
- Relocate when coops are dying and the gold counter is falling. Ask before you farm in someone else's house.
- Keep a second spot covered by the turret swarm, and wall the old approach so you learn which way the Beast is coming.
- Staying silent is one player's practice, not a proven detection rule. It costs nothing.
- A hit from the Beast triggers a free sprint that does not spend stamina. Use it.
- Line the escape path with traps so a sudden push takes damage on the way in.
Teammates on one base change the math. Two Farmers who pooled guns repelled a final-minute push, heard the Beast say it did not have enough help, and won on the clock. Solo players in other rounds simply ran into an already defended house.
In the final minute, fortify. One player spent it on extra walls and mines, then waited behind the guns as the count hit 5 seconds. With 5 seconds left and three Farmers alive, a round announced a Farmer win. The Beast never died. Killing it is the other route, in defeat the Beast.
